We’re happy to announce the graduation of the 2024 @bridge2trades cohort at Patriot Place in Foxboro! NEI partnered with Bridge 2 Trades, a program founded by New England Patriots` Captain @deatrich to provide students practical, real-world exposure and training across various industries, starting with construction.

Over the past six weeks, students gained valuable skills, earning key certifications like OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR, and Narcan. They explored drone operation, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and participated in hands-on training in plumbing and electrical work through site visits to local union training facilities.

A big thank you to Deatrich Wise Jr. for his vision, Taisha Crayton for her leadership, and to Andre` Barbour’ and Shanice Marshall for their support.

Congratulations to all the graduates! We’re excited to see where your new skills take you and wish you all a successful future.

Another great day at @thecovewoo! This time, we had the opportunity to see it through the eyes of one of our co-op students from Worcester Technical High School. It was amazing to watch their excitement as they applied their classroom knowledge to real-world situations. NEI’s partnerships with schools like Worcester Tech bring these hands-on learning experiences to life, making a significant impact on students` education and future careers.

NEI has topped out the concrete podium for the Sovereign at North Bay Project in Panama City, FL! Crews are starting wood framing for the 144 apartments and masonry for stair and elevator shafts. Earthwork is almost done, and underground utilities begin in early August. The project, designed by Martin Riley Associates Architects, P.C., is on track to be finished by late 2025! We’re proud to be working on this in collaboration with Bid-A-Wee Apartments LLC and The Strategic Group

Our Summer interns had a great day exploring some of our active job sites! From Walnut Street in Foxborough to Littleton Drive in Wareham and Olmsted Green in Mattapan, they got an inside look at various stages of construction. We recently teamed up with @h_seniorlife, to give a special tour of the 108 Centre Street project in Brookline, with @iconarchboston , to a local neighbor, Teddy, and his dad, Mat.

Teddy inspected the wiring, elevator shafts, HVAC system, and kitchen dimensions, and was excited about the construction process. Aspiring to be a firefighter/architect/racer, Teddy loved the fire pump room and was able to add his name to the wall, he said it was the best day he has had since going to the circus!

We understand the importance of community engagement in building the workers of tomorrow and love the opportunity to share our work with the next generation!
