NEI BREAKS GROUND ON MAJOR ROXBURY CROSSING DEVELOPMENT

NOVEMBER, 2016  A groundbreaking and beam signing ceremony was held Saturday morning for new Roxbury Crossing affordable housing development, Parcel 25 Phase 1A. NEI broke ground on the mixed-use development this summer which will bring 40 apartment units, retail space, office space, and community space totaling 77,500 SF to the community. The property will occupy a long-vacant parcel formerly owned by MBTA at the junction of Tremont, Gurney, and Station streets.

This property is part of a larger development vision of nonprofit Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services designed to reestablish Roxbury Crossing as a positive Gateway to Mission Hill. The design and uses of this transit-oriented development will allow it to be a place that connects the community.

NEI is working alongside owner Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services and architect Goody Clancy on the $16.2 Million project. Parcel 25 Phase 1A is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2017.
